Harness the power of music to feel calmer, less stressed and more balanced
Whether you struggle with anxiety, feeling down, or find yourself quick to react, sound therapy can help reduce your symptoms and restore emotional balance while building resilience so that you can enjoy your life more.
If you aren’t familiar with the therapeutic power of music, then we’ve got a treat for you! We’ve been using the SSP (Safe & Sound Protocol) in our clinic for the past 5 years and are very excited to help others to experience the shifts that the SSP can bring.
The RRP (Rest & Restore Protocol) is the latest offering from Integrated Listening Systems and has been a very nice addition to our practice.
If you think that sound therapy is for you, we’ll be happy to help you determine which Protocol fits you best.
What are some of the benefits we might experience through sound therapy?
Reduced emotional reactivity - either into fight/flight, or into a freeze/shutdown response
Deeper capacity for social engagement
Fewer difficulties with sensory processing
Increased emotional capacity, both independently & within relationships
Reduction in anxiety and trauma related challenges
Greater awareness of needs & body cues
Increased and growing sense of agency**
Better functioning digestion
Improved sleep cycles & quality
** agency refers to the sense of power or influence we feel we have to affect our lives for good; our ability to bring about our desired outcome
Ready to live freer and happier?
Getting Started with Sound Therapy is Simple
Once you decide you’re ready to start, we can have usually have you up and running by the end of the week.
Before starting, you will complete a questionnaire that will help us understand your nervous system’s responses to stress. Your sound therapy experience will be tailored to your nervous system, and we will continue to monitor your experience so that you get the greatest benefits. If you are currently working with a mental health professional, it is important for your SSP/RRP clinician to collaborate with them to maximize its effectiveness.
One of the beautiful things about sound therapy is that it is so accessible! All you need is to download an app & get yourself a specific headset & you’re set.

Tell me more
Both the SSP & the RRP are gentle listening interventions that consist of 5 hours of specially filtered music designed to help calm & reorganize our nervous systems. What that really means for the listener is that this music can help us shift from a defensive, on the lookout for danger stance (think fight-flight) to one of being more open for connection, as well as a deepening awareness of our physical and emotional states.
In our clinic we see clients able to process their emotional triggers better. Sound therapy complements your therapeutic journey quite nicely and is generally regarded as an accelerating agent in the counselling process.
